To help avoid or minimize bruising, avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine 24 hours prior as well as certain medications/vitamins such as aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Nuprin, Aleve, Celebrex, Fish oil, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wort and high doses of vitamin E 7 days prior to procedure. This is not required but is recommended to minimize bruising. Your regular multivitamin and Tylenol is ok.
*Filler only* If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you inform us 1 week prior to your appointment; this will allow us adequate time to prescribe a preventive antiviral medication to help prevent an outbreak.
* Filler only* Avoid dental procedures (including cleaning) 2 weeks pre and post.
Plan your treatment 2 weeks in advance of any special events to allow for bruising and the full effect of treatment prior to your event.
